Week 16

This week at work I've been working with a 9 month old, 100 pound mule that moonlights as a Labrador Retriever, and as a result I come home from work mentally and physically exhausted. The last thing I want to do is train my own little mule. But I can't really preach at other owners to train, and then not train my own dog now can I? Well, I could, but really, who'd come to me for help once they caught a glimpse of him? I'm thinking - nobody. Anyway, my sister just happened to be around tonight and felt inclined to photograph the little monster. So we now have a video of Kilo performing some of his tricks. :)

Kilo's 44lbs this week. Another week without a vet visit. My bank account is quite pleased. Kilo got to explore some nature trails for the first time and had great fun romping around and pulling the tassels off all the plants - and to my great surprise sent very little of the greenery down to his stomach. Are we past the 'eat absolutely everything' stage? . . . Kilo! Wait! Don't eat that! . . .

  1. It's so nice to see him exhibit some control. He is so cute and gets more enjoyable to be around on a daily basis. You neglected to mention that he's about 4" taller than the coffee table chest and that he gives great hugs! Of course, I'm not supposed to let him do that, but its OK if I ask him to, right?
