Brrrrrr....

Leah and I bundled up and took Kilo out to some fields today. We didn't bundle up enough. Kilo was much warmer and happier in his fur coat. We stood and shivered while Kilo had a wonderful time running around and smelling the wind.
Then he got a bath. He's not a huge fan of baths. Water is ok, petting is ok, but put them together with some smelly soap and suddenly life has lost all its fun. You can be sure however, that he's not going to be passing up the opportunity to shake and thoroughly soak his owners. That part at least, he does seem to find fun.

I have a car cover in the back seat that attempts to protect the interior against the dirt and hair that sloughs off Kilo on a daily basis. There is a hole in the middle of the cover to allow for seat belts. On the way home Kilo stuck his head through the hole and then proceeded to convince the woman at a check out window that he was in fact a human. I was somewhat startled when she suddenly shouted and exclaimed over the huge dog in the back seat. Like maybe, I didn't know there was a large animal in the back of my car. Should I be shocked too? Oh my! Look at that, there is a big furry beast in the back! How did that get there? It's amazing how deceiving first glances can be. Large shape in the back seat translates to a person in most peoples brains. Only after he shakes his head or stands up do they really look again. Wait, that's not a person! What is that?!?

  1. When you figure out what "it" is, let me know? Dog or toddler wearing a fur coat? Or maybe a cross between the two?
